Today I asked Lyn to be a special helper to do mat time. Lyn was very quick to volunteer jumping beside me preparing for her performance. Lyn had no trouble choosing the songs she wanted to sing. Once she begun she sang loud and proud to all of her classmates. She also made sure that all her actions were just in time showing her friends clearly what they should be doing too. She had such great fun running mat time singing to the tune in a loud clear voice. It was great to see her leadership role shining through again and her great turn taking skills ensuring different children were chosen each time during mat time.

Lyn is an excellent communicator. She is great at helping and showing others what to do. She has the confidence to stand up in front of her class. Her independence, turn taking skills and leadership continues to grow on a daily basis.

Lyn will be encouraged to continue to develop her communication skills verbally and non-verbally. As well as being encouraged to choose her own activities she will have a chance help teachers with daily tasks to build her confidence and develop her self help skills.
